I had already given up hope for a decent photograph when I found myself looking at the Cherry Orchard trail in Lyle. I was just hanging around, finishing my coffee and scouting for potential compositions for another time. As I stood there, something began to change rapidly. Suddenly, some sunbeams found a path through the thick fog. The fog helped the light bounce and it looked as if liquid gold was melting in between the hills. I began adjusting the exposure settings to capture this magical moment. I kept extending the exposure to smooth the movement of the clouds and to preserve the vibrant colors. I hope you find as much joy in this photo as I do. It serves as a reminder that even on the dullest of days, there’s always room for a touch of magic.
